Scones
makes 8 scones
Preheat oven to 400F.
Whisk together:
250g flour
65g sugar
11g baking powder
2g salt
Optional: mix-ins as desired (fruit, nuts, cinnamon chips)
Grate cold into dry mix:
85g (3/4 stick) butter
In 2 cup Pyrex, whisk:
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
Combine wet and dry mixes, stir until just combined. Should be crumbly!
Scoop onto parchment-lined baking sheet, shape into 7 inch disk. Cut into 8 equal sectors and spread out on pan. Brush with heavy cream.
Bake for 18-22 minutes, until browned and cooked through.
